State officials announced today that construction at the 157-acre Southern California State Veterans Cemetery in Anaheim Hills should cost taxpayers significantly less money than previously expected. Originally estimated at $130 million to get through its first phase of construction and burials, new projections estimate costs to be roughly $86 million, according to a new feasibility study commissioned by the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
