Irvine Opens $14.5 Million Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge Over I-5

The City of Irvine officially opened the Jeffrey Open Space Trail Bicycle and Pedestrian bridge spanning the I-5 freeway this week. The bridge comes at a cost of $14.5 million and connects the existing JOST trails with the coastal trail network, the Santa Ana Mountains, and the Cleveland National Forest. Mayor Larry Agran said, “We want to encourage people to walk, to bicycle, to enjoy the city itself.”
