Irvine Named Among America's Happiest Cities

According to independent Wallet Hub, Irvine is America's third Happiest City.

Irvine ranked after Fremont and San Jose, also in California, and ahead of cities like Madison, Wisconsin; Scottsdale, Arizona; and Huntington Beach. In last night's State of the City Addressed offered by Mayor Larry Agran, the Mayor expressed his goal to make Irvine America's safest, smartest, healthiest, greenest, and kindest city in America, as well.

Scores were based on emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, as well as community and the environment.

WalletHub added, "Irvine, CA, is the third-happiest city, in large part because its residents are healthy. More than 88% of adults in Irvine report having good or better health, the third-highest percentage in the country. In addition, nearly 84% participate in physical activities. The city has the seventh-highest life expectancy for residents, too."
