Incumbent Councilman Mike Carroll has won re-election to the City Council. First appointed in 2019, Carroll was previously elected to a full at-large term in 2020. He will represent the Fourth District which includes Irvine Spectrum, Los Olivos, Quail Hill, Shady Canyon, Turtle Ridge, Turtle Rock, and other neighborhoods. His opponent, environmental lobbyist Ayn Craciun was backed by Congresswoman Katie Porter and Councilmembers Kathleen Treseder and Tammy Kim.
