Longtime Irvine Unified School District Superintendent Terry Walker has announced his retirement, effective January 2025. Walker, who has been chief of Irvine schools for 14 years, said, "being a a member of the IUSD family and working alongside singularly dedicated board members, teachers and staff for nearly 30 years remains the honor of my lifetime." The Board of Education will soon begin the process for identifying Walker's successor.
