BREAKING NEWS:

Councilwoman Melissa Fox sends potential email extortion threat to District Attorney and City Attorney for review.

In advance of tonight's Irvine City Council meeting where Councilmember Jeff Lalloway plans to make a motion to drain the Great Park Fund 180 to return the Veterans cemetery to the cost-prohibitive ARDA site, Harvey Liss, an Editor at Irvine Community News & Views and committee-member of the Agran-led anti-cemetery campaign wrote an email threat to Councilmember Fox stating that if she didn't vote as instructed, they would begin an effort to remove her from office immediately,

Councilwoman Fox has issued a press release stating that “Liss’s threat is a misuse of the political system. It is to the people of Irvine that I owe my best efforts, my best judgment, my faithfulness, and my sole allegiance. I will not be bullied, threatened, or extorted into voting against what I believe to be the best interests of the City of Irvine”
